P&A Announces New Legal Director

July 20, 2020

Following an extensive search, P&A is happy to announce we have selected a new legal director. Randall Dong comes to P&A in his 30th year of practicing law.  After graduating from the University of Virginia Law School, he spent 15 years working in law firms on a broad variety of cases, including a number of class actions brought on behalf of South Carolina consumers.  He also litigated employment discrimination cases and represented foreign nationals before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.  In 2006, he joined the legal staff of the Public Service Commission of South Carolina, where he advised the Commissioners on utility regulation for almost 15 years before coming to P&A.

In 2011, then-Governor Nikki Haley appointed Randall to P&A’s volunteer Board of Directors.  Randall served as Chairman of the Grievance Committee and Board Secretary during his eight years of service.

Randall is excited to join the P&A team.  As a man who has dealt with the limitations imposed by cerebral palsy since birth, he understands how important support services are to ensuring that people with disabilities have opportunities to live productive, fulfilling lives.  “I am honored to have been chosen to lead an excellent team of legal professionals working to advance disability rights in South Carolina.  I believe in P&A’s mission, and I am ready to get to work.”

Randall lives in Columbia.  His wife Tracy Skipper is a publications editor at the University of South Carolina, and their son Aidan attends Cardinal Newman School.
